This is the page for you who are interested in dogs from group 5, section 7, primitive hunting dogs including the Pharaoh Hound. Another term for this group of dogs is podencoids who are huntingdogs from the Mediterranean Sea. The site is brand new in Joomla so if you see some errors, both technical and textual, send me an email and I will try to fix it.

My wish is that the page is updated continuously. All updates will be mentioned under the heading, News. If you have any materials that you want to share with others, like photos, stories, articles or tips on interesting links, mail them to me. If you have a different opinion than me, write a debate article, and I will post it here, too. Or do you want me to add your URL to my list of breeders? Many of you will perhaps find that the emphasis is too much on the Spanish breeds. At least at first, it might be so. It is not because I want to favor these breeds over the others. But the reason is simply that they are those who I know best. So you with Cirneco, Pharaoh Hound and Podengo Portugues, help me to get a page with more equality between the breeds

My dream with this page is to spread information and make others curious about our unique and fascinating dogs. It is difficult to find information about these breeds, so I will try to collect some of it here. I hope that prospective owners will find enough material here to make a wise choice when they choose a new dog to spend their life with.

I'm not a breeder, so I have no interest in selling dogs. I just want new owners to know that these dogs are not exclusive, interior decorations. I want them to understand that our dogs are highly specialized predators, designed for hunting. By doing so, I hope that this page will be enjoyable for both humans and dogs in their future conjoined life. I hope this will prevent a lot of misunderstandings between human and dog in their lifelong partnership. If they understand each other their companionship will be so much more joyfull.
